Nice IHOP. Always been a decent place to eat, even late night. We had an enjoyable visit here except for three drunken d-bags who kept dropping the F-bomb every other sentence. A few death-glances in their direction managed to get them to lower their voices. A few minor issues were quickly resolved by our server, Jose. Iced tea was weak, and I got bacon instead of the sausage I ordered. A plus for having Cholula sauce.

I was CRAVING breakfast food so I came here for my lunch period. I haven't been in an IHOP in about 3 years. All I can say that I don't recommend eating here... I had country fried steak and the gravy on top was cold, they forgot my toast, and my grapefruit juice was watered down. Not to mention I had to wait about 30+ minutes for my food and even longer for my check. Now I remember why I haven't gone to IHOP in years.

CAVEAT LECTOR: this IHOP review is *primarily* for my fellow Biscuits and Gravy fanatics. So it had been ages since last eating at an IHOP (fam vacation days some 20 yrs ago??) but the wife and I were coming back to Chicago after a heavy night of pre-memorial day drinking in the burbs and this seemed as good a place as any to nurse a bang on headache and coat the tummy w some greasy goodness. French Toast, bacon and scrambled eggs with a side of B & G's. It was delightful and just what the doctor ordered. The Biscuits & Gravy, while not even close to best ever (which would be my mom's homemade version) were some of the better ones i've experienced in Chicagoland...this over my 10 year quest for a respectable version of these elusive Southern delights. The Chicago B & G search continues but have to give a mention to IHOP'S version as i'd rate them a 3.5/5; will do in a pinch if the craving comes upon you.

Way better than Denny's, and this is the IHOP I prefer in all the surrounding suburbs I've been! The service was always great, with one waiter in particular, of Hispanic descent, whom introduced me to Cholula hot sauce for my hash browns! It's not super hot, and has this authentic flavor I've never had before..........anyway, he brought out a few kinds, and I ended up loving that one (and his service)----I'm sorry I forgot his name! LOL But yeah, good food and service! :0)

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. So, here's the story: I go inside during 1 o'clock on Saturday and I already see a lot of people, so the person at the cashier asked me for my name. About 5 minutes later, my name was called and I was taken to my seat, which was a booth (which are mostly in the restaurant). While looking at the menu, I couldn't decide what to pick, since, tbh, they all looked great to eat. I chose an omelette, and it didn't take too long for the food to arrive. Food tasted pretty good for my first visit. Only complaint was that the check took too long to come to my table, otherwise the shop itself is pretty decent.

Open 24 hours with great service and food! No complaints here! The food didn't take long after ordering and it tasted good! You can't beat the food for the price here! I received my refills whenever I finished my ice tea. Nice clean bathroom and the manager was very attentive asking us how the food was and if we needed anything. This is a great place after watching a late movie showing next to AMC 30 or the bar.

Service has always been pretty decent here, given that I am usually on premises at after 1-2am. Its an entertaining place at this time - random suspicious characters or odd pairings make staying awake easier while having breakfast food and what should be decaf coffee... Yay 24 hour IHOP... thanks for the free, after hours comedy shows.

Yes, it's an IHOP. But when you have a server like Abraham, it's a 4 star experience! :) We came here on a Saturday morning for the all you can eat pancakes promotion. We had 8 people in our group and we were seated right away. Everyone in our party ordered the pancakes, except my dad and I. I ordered the veggie omelet (which is coincidentally the only thing keeping this from being a five star rating--it wasn't very good...) and my dad got the french toast, which he said was great. But the pancakes--YUM!! My four year old ate about five of them by herself, and our amazing server kept them coming!! He really did a great job :)

The only thing IHOP, especially 24 hr IHOPs, is for drunken munchies. I refuse to eat here at any other time because IHOP food is just nasty while sober. I gave this location 3 stars but I really should be giving them 2 because late night service really, really sucks. This, of course, is expected but c'mon.... increase your staff on weekend graveyard shifts by even 1 person. I gave 'em 3 because many a drunken 4:30 am morning I've gazed upon the blue sign with glassy eyed gratitude. They get the job done when I need to coat my alcohol abused stomach lining with grease. You'll see nothing but drunk, obnoxious young adults on late weekend nights and it's fun watching the poor wait staff have to deal with them. Oh yeah, the food is standard for an IHOP just in case you were wondering.

The waitress kept forgetting my water, I asked for toast for my meal that she forgot to bring then when she brought it 10 minutes later my eggs were cold so I had them remake them so I can have warm eggs. They brought me the eggs another 5 min later and they were runny not fully cooked. The silverware was dirty and the waitress asked if I wanted something else I said forget it I'm just gonna go. Very bad experience with very sub par food

IHOP...what do you expect....want cheap food with bland taste in a mediocre stuffy place...this is your spot. The food wasn't great and the waiter did have some attitude. It reminded me why I don't go to the chain places. If I can rate this 0 stars I sure would

This is my favorite Breakfast restaurant chain. I've been to a couple of IHOP restaurants in the city and the suburbs, and the food and service is pretty consistent. They always serve the best Breakfast combos, and the food always comes out nice and hot. Their pancakes are always so fluffy and warm and always a great compliment to my main meal. When I find myself at any of the IHOP locations, I always get the Breakfast Combo (2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 pork sausages, 2 pieces of ham, hash browns, and 2 fluffy buttermilk pancakes). I get to sample all these items and still have my pancakes too. Another recommendation is their "Pick-A-Pancake Combo" (2 eggs hash browns, and choice of 2 bacons strips or two pork sausage links, and your choice of their famous pancake (Chocolate chip, New York Cheesecake, Double Blueberry). Their Double Blueberry pancake is to die for....ooozing with so much Blueberry goodness. IHOP is the best place to meet friend for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Some locations are even open 24 hours. The place is always clean, the wait staff is always friendly (at least on my experience), and the food is always great; not to mention, your not breaking your wallet. Just be forewarned this place is a madhouse on Saturday and specially Sunday mornings, expect to be in line for a while, but still is worth the wait.

Hungry after a movie at AMC? Do not eat here. My orange juice was luke warm. Food was mediocre at best. Friend's pancakes were greasy. The place was cold to probably suppress the clorox cleaner smell permeating through the restaurant. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 2 minutes to a McDonalds to grab a bite to eat.

My boyfriend and I are regulars at this location and prefer this one over the one in Elgin because they always give you an extra biscuit with the skillets (it really is the little things that count!) Although most of their food is mediocre (you can get decent breakfast food anywhere), it's the amazing pancakes that keep us coming back time and time again. Even pancakes at "trendier" breakfast places like WIldberry can't compare to the fluffy buttermilk pancakes at IHOP.
(3)

It's your standard IHOP fare. Doughy pancakes and eggs at a bargain price. Service at this one was a little slow, even though it wasn't crowded

I think if you stick with pancakes or breakfast here, you'll be happier. I've tried a couple other things and not gotten too excited. Most recently it was the bacon / blue cheese burger with onion rings. No electing 'doneness' here, they cook til it's dead. The "blue cheese" was a salad dressing, no chunks, tasted a little "off." Onion rings were worth the stop, tho. They have a senior BOGO daily at this location, 3-6PM, and always have a discounted senior menu with smaller portions. Service is always great. They have some longevity with the wait staff.

Haven't been to iHop in ages. After a night at the recording studio, there's nothing better than finding a 24 hour food pit stop. There was no one to seat us, so we sat ourselves, a little worried we might get crappy service. But, the place was slammed with families - like ours at 11pm! This was the happenin' place to be! Our server was fantastic! She put our order in right away, and we waited only a short while before our food came. Kid silver dollar pancake meal a steal at $6 with a drink. My Colorado omelet with bacon, sausage, ham, green pepper, and cheddar was ginormous. I now have a second breakfast waiting for me with the amount I brought back home. The bathrooms sucked, so my rating went down. I mean totally sucked with non working toilets, some chick throwing up in the only working stall. So bad I chose to hold it. Man do I have to pee...

Well.. This was one of the most often visit IHOP for me. It's pretty good place. Service is pretty good. But the bad thing is - probably one of the more busier IHOP and hence GROUPON doesn't work here. SIgh.! Usually have an omelette with a side of flavored pancakes :)

I rarely write bad reviews but the attitude of the managerial staff set me over the edge. A few months ago my boyfriend and I ordered to go and everything seemed great; until I took a bite of my super stacker and discovered a hair in my mouth. Gross. I realized that there was a small chance it could have been mine so I lifted the top bun to investigate further and sure enough, another hair melted in with the cheese. I didn't finish my meal. After this disgusting experience we avoided IHOP until this morning when we called to place another order. I asked to substitute the hash browns for two sausage. "We don't do that." We asked to speak to a manager. Her name is Linese and she was beyond rude. She repeated how she goes above and beyond all while refusing to make a small substitution. Actions speak louder than words, Linese! There wasn't even an option to be charged a few bucks. It was hash browns or nothing. We said forget it and hung up the phone. We decided to try a different IHOP in hopes the staff would be more accommodating and excited to take our money. I asked about the two sausage instead of hash browns and there was no issue. No extra charge. No attitude. Just good business. The IHOP on Golf Road in Arlington Heights will be getting a five star review for going "above and beyond" while Linese and this IHOP get one.

I hate giving bad reviews. I really do. I'm a pretty laid-back person who can look past the occasional bad experience, but... There was a hair next to my omelet. Right there on the plate in plain, obvious sight. Just hanging out. Like Garnish. I have a picture. I won't post it, but the picture exists as evidence. The hair clearly did not come from anyone's head. To quote my cousin who was dining with me on this day, "look on the bright side, it could be from someone's armpit and not necessarily from 'down there.'" Okay, so the hair was there. What next? I flagged down our server and pointed to my plate. Her eyes opened wide, then she muttered something, whisked the plate away, and disappeared for a while (probably 15 minutes or so). So, we sat there and waited, a little dumbfounded. My cousin debated eating her food. She only took a couple bites before she realized it bothered her too. I didn't let my kids eat their food (though they sneaked a few nibbles at the pancakes). I know that it was just my plate that was affected, but still...I was thoroughly grossed out. So we waited. And waited. Our server came back to tell me the manager would be out in a minute. The manager appeared after another 5 minutes or so. Said that my meal was on the house. I should hope so...since you just took my plate away and I haven't eaten anything!!!! But, I was still charged for the rest of the meals. The meals that we didn't eat. That's fine. I paid it. Then I went home and emailed IHOP corporate and provided them a picture of the offensive omelet hair. They responded within a few days. Gave me three complimentary meals at the same IHOP. I wasn't really expecting anything, really. Most especially, though, I wasn't expecting that I'd actually RETURN to this IHOP! But again, I wasn't expecting anything. A refund of the other meals would have been nice and ideal, but mainly, I wanted to make a point. I had no desire whatsoever to eat here again. A shame since my kids love IHOP and it's usually a great, quick, kid-friendly, wallet-friendly place for us to eat. I caved. We still eat at IHOP occasionally...just not this one. I wasn't planning to ever use this comp, but we ended up back here this weekend cuz we were in the area and the kids were really hungry and they saw the IHOP sign and insisted on it. Second experience was a total 180 from the above experience. Meals were hair-free, good, and service was extremely friendly. The on-duty manager had to register my comp when it came time to pay and once she read the reason for comp, she made sure to ask about our experience this time. I told her it was great cuz it was. But still. 1 star for the first experience.

One day, you will end up stranded in the middle of nowhere at a hotel that was chosen for the convenience and distance to a wedding. You will take a dozen steps outside and look up passed the five lane street with no sidewalks and find not one interesting looking building let alone food place. In the cold, in the dark, and staring at your smart phone Yelp app, knowing that you won't be able to get to all the cool Yelp places that you bookmarked, you will give in to a chain. If you decide on iHop, you will drink gingerbread hot chocolate and enjoy delicious pumpkin pancakes with a massive dollop of whipped cream on everything. Everything will cost about $5~$8 since you ought to be ordering breakfast. It's flipping iHop. You will wish that you chose a hotel closer to downtown, but you will get fat and happy. Open 24 hours a day.

I know it's stupid to review an IHOP, we all have probably been to one at least once...so i'm not going to bore you... but if given the choice of this IHOP or the other IHOPs within reasonable driving distance of my house, i choose this one. the food is quick, the service is ok. it's as good as can be expected

Terrible service, gross food, and completely sad. I go to this IHOP after going to the movies near by all the time, not anymore. My waiter took forever to take our order, then still screwed up my drink, didnt even bother to deliver our food another server did that. I got the crepe combo and my eggs tasted like burnt plastic, I couldnt eat them. Server never bothered to checked on us or bring us the check. After waiting 25 minutes after finishing no one came to give us the check or check on us in general after the food was delivered. My waiter with a bunch of others were too busy hanging out in front talking to each other. We had to go up there and tell them to give us the check so we can pay and leave. It's the first time I went here and had to ever deal with this, What happened, why the hell is the manager not managing?? Worst experience I've ever had going there for years and years. And to whatever waiter kept singing in the back, I'd say don't quit your day job but you aren't good at that either so good luck. I give this place a year, if service doesn't go back to the way it use to they will be gone.

What can I say? It's IHOP. However, you've never had a server like Lisa. She's the only reason my buddies and I keep coming back to this one restaurant. I request for her section every time. She's extremely attentive, makes sure everything's done the way you want it (ok, i can be a tad bit picky sometimes) and is never without her sweet smile. This establishment is very lucky to have a gem like her.

I like this IHOP. Staff is friendly, food is served hot and the restaurant is kept clean. Only ding is Hoffman Estate's high food tax-not the restaurant's fault.

Good drunk food. Better than Denny's. I love their pumpkin pancakes during the fall season! They get a thumbs up for carrying sugar-free syrup.
